So what has Candee been up to?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  First of all, AFLOAT, a short film directed by Reilly Johnson and Margi Newquist has been making the festival rounds in the U.S. and internationally. It was selected in Liverpool, UK and is one of six films selected in the best comedy category at the Chandler (AZ) International Film Festival. It also received the Best Comedy award from Hollywood Just4Shorts for December 2024.                                                                                                                                                                                        Candee played Terri the bartender. Scared of her own shadow but with dreams of something better, she finds her inner strength and some physical, too. Catch the trailer here.                                                                                                                                                                                      Speaking of the Hollywood Just4Shorts Festival, Candee’s short film script, SHARP for LIFE, won Best Script for December 2024. Thanks to everyone associated with the festival!                                                                                                                                                                                         In 2024, SUPER RUBLE ADVENTURE made its way through the festival circuit. Written and directed by Tommie Grabiec and produced by Cindy Higginson, it won for Best First Director (Male) and Best Parody Short at IndieX Film Festival. Other awards include Best Comedy - Top Shorts Film Festival, Best Comedy – Paris Play Film Festival, Best Costume Design - Los Angeles Film Awards, and finalists in many more.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Candee was the formidable Mrs. Perkins.
