JANUARY 2012
Happy New Year!
After taking stock of 2011, I'm ready for another great year. The Northeast Ohio area had a great year of feature film shoots. Most will appear in some form (hopefully in a theater) in 2012.
Starting off the year is Liberal Arts making its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this month. Congrats to Josh Radnor who wrote, directed, produced and starred in it.
As for me, my new year's resolutions beckon and it's back to writing.
Best to all for this year!
JULY 2011
Talk about lucky! I was selected from 1500 possible extras for background in a bar scene. (The co-producer assured me I would be perfect for the part. :) After a night of hit and miss, I got my big break in BOOT TRACKS and, so, I waved my cash trying to get the bartender's attention. But I was able to get my pic with one of my favorite actresses, Michelle Monaghan. (Hey, Michelle grew up 30 miles from my hometown in Iowa!) She is a very gracious lady and just as pretty in person as on the screen.
JUNE 2011
It's a wrap for LIBERAL ARTS, a film written, directed and produced by Josh Radnor of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER fame.
Shot at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH,

a liberal arts school near Columbus, OH, it's now in the can. It also stars Elizabeth Olsen , the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley and the darling of Sundance and Cannes for her performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene due out in theaters October 1.
I'm sure you'll recognize Richard Jenkins (Hall Pass, Step Brothers, Burn After Reading and Eat, Pray, Love) and Allison Janey (Juno, American Beauty, and in TV - The West Wing and recently Mr. Sunshine), John Magaro (My Soul to Take, The Box and Assassination of a High School President), Elizabeth Reaser (Twilight franchise), Kate Burton, Robert Desiderio, Ali Ahn and..... heartthrob Zak Efron (High School Musical).
LIBERAL ARTS is produced by BCDF Pictures. For more information, check out IMDB.
MAY 2011
LUCKY DUCK wins the audience choice award at the Columbia University Film Festival! I hope to see it soon at other festivals.
APRIL 2011
Heading to the Big Apple for the premiere of LUCKY DUCK, a short film made in Ohio last summer. (I was a production assistant.)

Congrats to writer/director Colin Elliott, and producers Andrew Hauser, Rafael Leesa Bulhoes Pedreria and Olivia Newman. These talented individuals have other films in the festival and I hope to see them all.
MARCH 2011
Looking forward to seeing the result of last year’s internship on Freerunner, an action movie expected to be released in theaters this Christmas.

The stunts were amazing as the actors were also the stuntmen. Using the discipline of freerunning, they appear to leap tall buildings in downtown Cleveland (Ohio) in a single bound. And, oh yeah, there was at least one car chase scene.
So, I can't wait to see the final cut!
